Skateparks are potentially dangerous places for all people who enter them this includes spectators as well as users.
Guidance:
- Please be aware of risks and hazards and help to minimise your own risk of injury
- Hazards such as steep drops, trip hazards, tight transitions, waxed coping and other users should all be assessed.
- Never rush into a session take your time and warm up to harder tricks
- Know when you are tired and stop before fatigue causes an injury
- Have an awareness of the session, the users taking part, the range of ages abilities and disciplines watch learn and find your space within the session
- Look out for others and only go when it is safe to do so
- Watch other people’s lines and do not snake in front of them
- Wrist guards are recommend to all users
- Be aware of your limitations and skate, ride and scoot within your own abilities
Rules:
- Helmets are mandatory for users 12 or under and are strongly recommended to all other users
- Strictly no alcohol in the skatepark
- Campus Staff reserve the right to ask you to leave a session if you are acting in an unsafe manner or have booked the wrong session for your age or ability.
- Be respectful of all other users
- Any equipment that is not being used must be left in a safe place, so as not to get in the way of other skatepark users
- During the Toddler and Junior, Junior Mash Up Sessions Parents/Guardians are expected to supervise in the skatepark
- Although running and sliding is allowed in the toddler and Junior Mash Up sessions (for younger children) it must be done safely and under adult supervision.
